Jasmin:
I enjoyed filming Mr Eales for writer's club. If we did it again, I would also have involved some children from the club in my interview. In my group were Louise, Tegan, Yvonne and Charley. It was a great day and has been an amazing experience.

Jonathan:
I enjoyed helping to gather the news and seeing what people found. My highlight of the day was when Chase found some news about a lady who got stuck on the toilet, but he couldn't put it in the news broadcast because it was difficult to prove it was true. If I were doing this again, I would change my role to a journalist instead of editor. I've learnt how to be more attentive and listen more to people.

Kate: I enjoyed being a presenter and also finding the news to put on the broadcast. I could have spoken more fluently in the broadcast. If I were doing it again, I would like to be a camera operator. I have learnt how to present news and also how to gather appropriate news. I have also learnt to be patient with other people if they make a mistake. Overall I thought it was good and I enjoyed it. I thought the final broadcast was really successful and went well. I would like to thank all the people on the team on the BBC News School Report.

Mikey:
I had fun in the school report. I learnt to gather the news and interview people in the school. Thank you to the people who helped me, especially Mr Skeggs who did the website. It was really fun interviewing people and I enjoyed the school report.

Tegan:
Thursday the 13th was the BBC News School Report Day. We worked really hard to get a great result. We had been working towards it since January. I enjoyed filming the interview and talking to different people. If I was to do it again, I would choose a completely different story and help out with writing the story. I've learned how to be a journalist for a day and how hard they work. The final broadcast was a real success and turned out great. I really enjoyed the day. I would like to thank Mrs Holden, Ben Woolvin, Toby French and others for the day.

Paige:
I enjoyed the day working with the BBC but most of all I enjoyed getting ready for the live report. If I were doing it again in front of the camera I would have looked up to the camera and spoken louder. I have learned a lot about the BBC and how they get ready for the news and how hard it is to sit in front of a camera and talk while looking at the camera. The story that I presented on the news was Scarlett Keeling's murder. I worked with a group of friends who I know and we have helped each other. We got on with the work and helped each other through the live show.

Andy:
The best bit about yesterday was when I took the photos of the broadcasting. I take photos at home. I did the story of the girl in Dartmoor. I interviewed a student and the safety officer. That's the first time I've done interviews. Thank you Mrs Hasbury for your help on the day.

Ty:
I enjoyed being with the BBC because I was a presenter and journalist and researched stuff about the man who ate biscuits for 25 years, since he was 2 years old. I was a producer in the broadcast. In this, I learnt news is not boring and when you know how to shout you're fine!

Alejandro:
Yesterday I enjoyed being with the BBC News school report and talking in front of a camera and filming a little bit. If I were doing it again I would improve my speaking and researching for news and work more quickly. I have learned how the news is set up and what they do. I also enjoyed it when the man from the BBC came.
Amber: (an observer):
When I was watching what the students did on the day, it was really good and interesting and it looked like the people who did it had a lot of fun. The person who organised the school report day was Mrs Holden. Also Robert Skeggs is very talented and managed to put all of our recordings on our school website. If there is an opportunity to do something like this, I will go on it.

Yvonne:
I enjoyed finding and rewriting stories. Roger from the BBC commented on the camera framing that Kate and Antony and I did. If I were to do it again, I would put my hand up for more things to do, as I had spare time. I've learned the news isn't always about adults and that it can be fun. Overall I think that the day went quite well. We had a BBC cameraman in so our material we produced will be used in the future. In the group we went in were Louisa, Tegan, Jasmin, Charley and me. We worked together well and our story was the writer's club. We interviewed a teacher and asked him how he thought it was coming along.

Ben: I enjoyed speaking to BBC Radio News also running up and down to Mr Skeggs giving him news to put on our blog. If I were doing it again, I would do pretty much the same thing if I could. I would probably do the diary again and hopefully be on the final broadcast. I've learned how to do the main things in the BBC: find, gather, order, write assemble and broadcast the news. In conclusion, I had a brilliant day and hope to do it again in the future. Also I would like to thank Mr Woolvin and all the school teachers.

Chase: I enjoyed finding the news because I could find interesting things like the woman who got stuck to the toilet seat for two years and the man who ate biscuits and tea for 25 years. If I were to do it again, I would try to sell my story more in the editorial meeting and edit and save my video earlier instead of 5 minutes before they broadcast. I've learned to work in a group and to be a journalist.
