Information Communication Technology


Information & Communication Technology is more vital now than ever. We will ensure that students have a knowledge and understanding of hardware and software, and also that they harness the power of the Internet and the rapidly expanding world of digital communications. By giving them skills and confidence to use ICT efficiently and effectively, we are making it easier for them to find good jobs.

Key Stage 3
ICT Strategy: Years 7, 8 & 9
Covering Four Strands:
1) Finding things out   
2) Developing Ideas  
3) Exchanging & Sharing   
4) Reviewing

Key Stage 4
All students will undertake a course which is equivalent to two GCSE grades, which consists of two units.

Unit 1 - 'Using ICT' (Year 10)
Unit 2 - Either 'Graphics' or 'Multimedia'. (Year 11).
